KS1 Teaching Assistant- Starting After October Half Term iNNEW Milk Education is partnering with a primary school in Whitley Bay to recruit a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism on a one-to-one basis. This role begins after the October Half Term and is a long-term temporary position. The role is full-time and working Monday to Friday and the working hours are 08:30am- 15:30pm. The school is seeking a patient, nurturing individual who can provide consistent support, keep the child focused, and help meet their individual learning needs. Responsibilities include preparing resources, supporting daily tasks, and maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment. Experience with SEND and a calm, supportive approach are highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-to-one support for a Year 1 pupil with Autism * Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day * Prepare daily resources and support learning activities * Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment * Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff Requirements: * Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism (desirable) * Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach * Strong communication and teamwork skills * Commitment to supporting the child’s academic and emotional development If you are passionate about making a difference in a child\’s education, we’d love to hear from you.
