KS1 Teacher – Stockton-on-Tees

Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Stockton-on-Tees and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated KS1 Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

You’ll play a vital role in supporting children through the important early stages of their education, delivering engaging lessons and creating a positive classroom environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and age‑appropriate lessons across the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Support children’s academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
  • Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
  • Support pupils with SEND and additional learning needs.
  • Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within KS1 is desirable.
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Strong understanding of assessment and pupil progress.
  • Passion for delivering high‑quality teaching and learning.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and support young learners.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
