Milk Education are recruiting a caring, resilient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Huyton. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment for children with a range of additional needs and is looking for committed support staff to join their team from September.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with ASC, SEMH, and complex needs in classroom and 1:1 settings
- Deliver adapted learning activities to small intervention groups
- Help children access learning, develop independence, and build confidence
- Use communication tools, visual aids, and structured routines to support engagement
- Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Support personal care needs where required
About You
- Caring, patient, and resilient nature
- Genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEND
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible, proactive, and adaptable approach
- Available full-time from September
- Experience within schools or SEN settings is desirable
- Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, sensory regulation strategies, or trauma-informed practice is beneficial (training provided)
