Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Merseyside to recruit a Religious Education Teacher to start as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate RE graduate, aspiring teacher, or experienced Religious Education Teacher with strong knowledge of religion, ethics, philosophy, or humanities who is keen to inspire students, encourage critical thinking, and support academic achievement across KS3 and KS4.

This role is open to both recent graduates looking to gain valuable classroom experience and experienced teachers seeking their next opportunity within secondary education. The Role as a Religious Education Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging RE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Support students in developing critical thinking, empathy, and analytical skills
  • Prepare pupils for assessments, examinations, and GCSE coursework
  • Adapt lessons and activities to meet individual learning needs
  • Encourage participation and positive behaviour through engaging teaching strategies
  • Track student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

  • Promote respect, inclusion, and cultural understanding within the classroom

The Ideal Candidate as a Religious Education Teacher:

  • A degree in Religious Education, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, Humanities, or a related subject, or previous experience teaching RE
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Religious Education
  • Experience teaching or working with secondary-aged students is desirable
  • Open to both recent graduates and experienced teachers
  • Confident, adaptable, and engaging communication style
  • Passion for education and supporting young people
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
