Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated and confident Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive Primary School in the L4 area of Liverpool on a long‑term basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to take an active role within a KS2 classroom, supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. You will work closely with the class teacher and wider school team, contributing to high‑quality learning experiences and helping to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where all pupils are supported to reach their full potential.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑quality classroom support across KS2, working in partnership with the class teacher
  • Deliver targeted small‑group interventions and structured 1:1 support
  • Support learning in reading comprehension, writing, spelling, grammar, and mathematics
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to support assessment and planning
  • Promote positive behaviour, inclusion, and emotional wellbeing
  • Support pupils with additional needs, adapting activities where required
  • Assist with lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and learning resources
  • Act as a positive role model, encouraging independence, resilience, and confidence

Essential Requirements

  • Recent and relevant experience working within a primary school setting
  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (CACHE, Childcare, NNEB, or equivalent)
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and child development
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting learning
  • Confidence working independently and following teacher‑led planning
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
