Milk Education is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Newcastle to recruit a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during a key stage of their educational journey, helping them develop confidence in reading, writing and maths while creating a positive classroom experience.
The Role
- Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classrooms
- Deliver small group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy
- Provide additional support for pupils requiring extra encouragement
- Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
- Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement
- Work closely with teachers to monitor pupil progress
About You
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
- A positive, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
