Milk Education is working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Newcastle to recruit a Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils during a key stage of their educational journey, helping them develop confidence in reading, writing and maths while creating a positive classroom experience.

The Role

  • Support teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 classrooms
  • Deliver small group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy
  • Provide additional support for pupils requiring extra encouragement
  • Assist with classroom preparation and learning resources
  • Encourage positive behaviour and pupil engagement
  • Work closely with teachers to monitor pupil progress

About You

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
  • A positive, enthusiastic and nurturing approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Passionate about helping children achieve their potential
