  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a

Primary School in Kirklees on a long or short-term basis. This role is temporary/permanent/temp-to-perm.

Teaching Assistant or HLTA to become a familiar face in a school where high-quality support, consistency and pupil development are at the heart of the school community.

You’ll be joining a welcoming school that prioritises pupil progress and staff development , providing the opportunity to take on greater classroom responsibility while supporting children across

EYFS, KS1 and KS2 .

Your main responsibilities will include

  • Delivering whole-class, group and 1:1 learning sessions to support pupil progress.
  • Providing lesson cover in the absence of the class teacher , ensuring learning continues effectively.
  • Supporting teachers with planning, assessment and adapting resources to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Leading targeted interventions and supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development .

Requirements or Skills

  • Recent experience working within a Primary School or education setting.
  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and/or HLTA qualification is desirable.
  • Experience delivering lessons, interventions or supporting learning independently.
  • Strong classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, adaptable approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a wider school team.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one) and the Right to Work in the UK.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
