Milk Education is recruiting a dedicated Maths Tutor to support learners within a specialist post-16 educational setting in Harrogate from September.
You will work with young people with additional needs, delivering engaging and accessible Maths lessons that help learners develop confidence, numeracy skills and achieve their individual learning goals.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons tailored to individual learning needs.
- Support learners working towards Functional Skills or GCSE Maths qualifications.
- Differentiate learning to ensure every learner can access the curriculum.
- Develop learners’ confidence with practical numeracy and problem-solving skills.
- Monitor learner progress and contribute to individual learning plans.
- Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants and wider staff teams.
- Encourage independence and positive attitudes towards learning.
- Create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
About You
- Experience teaching or tutoring Maths.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), Level 5 Teaching qualification or relevant tutoring experience is desirable.
- Passionate about supporting learners with SEND.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Patient, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.
- Experience delivering Functional Skills or GCSE Maths is advantageous.
