Milk Education is excited to be recruiting for a SEN Behaviour & Learning Mentor to support our partner SEN schools across Guildford and the surrounding Surrey area. As a Behaviour & Learning Mentor, you'll play a key role in helping students overcome behavioural challenges, engage positively with learning, and build confidence both in and out of the classroom.

This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, youth workers, support workers, or experienced education professionals looking to make a real difference in specialist school settings. You'll be joining welcoming, inclusive schools that prioritise wellbeing, consistency, and positive relationships, making it the perfect role for someone who wants to become a valued member of a supportive school community.

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN and additional needs.
  • Implement behaviour support strategies to encourage positive engagement and learning.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to support individual learning plans.
  • Help students develop emotional regulation, resilience, and confidence.
  • Experience supporting children or young people (education, SEN, youth work, coaching, care, mentoring, or similar).
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
