Are you a recent or soon-to-be graduate looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting? Milk Education is recruiting Graduate Teaching Assistants to work across schools in Manchester from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to develop classroom experience, support young people, and explore a future career in education.

Whether you studied a core subject like English, Maths, or Science, a social science like Psychology or Sociology, or a creative subject like Drama, Music, Art, or PE – we want to hear from you.

Location: Manchester

Start Date: September 2025

Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, term time)

Contract: Ongoing (full academic year)

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering academic support to students in your specialist subject or across the curriculum
  • Providing 1:1 or small group interventions for pupils who need extra support
  • Supporting students with behavioural or emotional needs to stay on track
  • Assisting with lesson delivery and occasionally covering classes in the absence of the teacher (lesson plans provided)
  • Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders to raise standards and promote inclusion

We’re Looking For:

  • A graduate (any subject) with a strong academic background and a passion for education
  • Some experience working with children or young people (e.g., mentoring, tutoring, coaching, youth work, camps)
  • Excellent communication, patience, and a proactive attitude
  • A genuine desire to make a positive impact on pupils’ learning and development
  • An interest in pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, behaviour mentoring, or pastoral support
