Are you a graduate looking to gain school-based experience before embarking on a career in teaching or the education sector?

Milk Education are currently working with schools throughout Surrey who are looking to appoint a Graduate Learning Mentor forthe academic year, or this term onwards(September 2025- July 2026) on a full-time or part-time basis. You will be working with students that require both academic and pastoral support to ensure they are reaching their expected levels of progress.
Graduate Learning Mentor Role and Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to work with students on a 1:1 basis providing tailored intervention sessions as well as supporting full class teachers in the classroom. There will also be opportunities to cover lessons gaining invaluable experience prior to starting a PGCE or schools direct teacher training programme.
We are looking for aspiring teachers who have graduated in any of the following categories;
- Maths
- Science
- Humanities (History, Geography, RE)
- Languages
- Art and Design
- Psychology or Social Sciences
- Sport & Physical Activity
- Must have a university degree 2:2 or above
- Previous experience of working with young people would be beneficial but not essential
- Clear desire to work with young people and become a teacher in the future
- Must be able to provide a minimum of two references within the past two years
- Willingness to undertake CPD training as asked by Milk and your placement school
