We’re working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools and SEND schools across Northumberland who are looking for Graduate Support Staff to join them as soon as possible. Whether you studied Psychology, English, Maths, Counselling, Literature, Fine Art or a related degree, this is a fantastic chance to use your knowledge and enthusiasm to make a real impact in the classroom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Supporting pupils in class, in small groups, or 1:1
* Helping with literacy, numeracy, and creative activities
* Assisting children with SEND or additional needs (training provided)
* Building relationships and encouraging positive behaviour
* Gaining hands-on experience of school life ahead of a future in teaching, educational psychology, counselling, SEN, or youth work
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree: A 2:2 or above
* A genuine interest in working with children
* A proactive, patient and reliable approach
* A desire to learn and grow in an educational setting
* Experience working with young people (e.g tutoring, volunteering, holiday camps) is helpful but not essential
