About the Role
Milk Education is seeking a motivated, caring, and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join welcoming primary schools in Durham DH1 and surrounding areas. This role is ideal for both newly qualified and experienced Teaching Assistants looking to support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children within EYFS including SEND and additional learning needs
- Assist in delivering engaging, creative, and structured learning activities
- Promote a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment
- Prepare classroom resources and support daily routines
- Support behaviour management and pupil engagement
- Work collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff
Key Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- CACHE Level 2 or Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification
- Experience in EYFS nursery or primary school settings
- Knowledge of SEND support and inclusive education
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Reliable, adaptable and proactive approach
- Passion for child development and early years education
