We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Lecturer to work within Further Education colleges across the North East. This is a fantastic temporary opportunity to support learners in developing their English skills in a supportive and engaging academic environment.

You will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student progress, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for learners of varying abilities.

  • Location: North East England
  • Hours: Full time and Part time opportunities, flexible, temporary assignments available
  • Pay: Dependent on experience

Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
  • Experience teaching English or Functional Skills within an FE or secondary setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate learners of different abilities
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A proactive and professional approach
  • Ability to provide two recent references

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging English lessons (Functional Skills and/or GCSE)
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support learners in achieving academic progress
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
  • Monitor and manage learner behaviour effectively
  • Work collaboratively with college staff
  • Provide feedback on student progress where required
