We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate English Lecturer to work within Further Education colleges across the North East. This is a fantastic temporary opportunity to support learners in developing their English skills in a supportive and engaging academic environment.
You will play a key role in delivering high-quality lessons, supporting student progress, and fostering a positive learning atmosphere for learners of varying abilities.
- Location: North East England
- Hours: Full time and Part time opportunities, flexible, temporary assignments available
- Pay: Dependent on experience
Requirements:
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
- Experience teaching English or Functional Skills within an FE or secondary setting
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of different abilities
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and professional approach
- Ability to provide two recent references
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging English lessons (Functional Skills and/or GCSE)
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Support learners in achieving academic progress
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Monitor and manage learner behaviour effectively
- Work collaboratively with college staff
- Provide feedback on student progress where required
