Milk Education are partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in Enfield to appoint a committed Learning Support Assistant to join their dedicated inclusion team. This rewarding opportunity is perfect for a motivated Learning Support Assistant who is passionate about helping young people build confidence, develop key skills and achieve success in the classroom.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff to provide personalised support for students who require additional assistance with their learning. The school has a strong focus on inclusion and ensuring that all pupils, regardless of their needs or abilities, can access a high-quality education and reach their potential.
The Role:
- Providing classroom-based support to students across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Working as a Learning Support Assistant to help pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons
- Supporting students with SEND, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and moderate learning difficulties
- Delivering targeted interventions to support academic progress and personal development
- Assisting teachers with lesson preparation and adapting learning resources
- Encouraging independence and helping students develop effective learning strategies
- Supporting behaviour management and promoting a positive learning environment
- Contributing to student progress reviews and maintaining accurate records where required
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Behaviour Mentor or Support Worker
- Experience supporting children or young people with additional needs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
- Enthusiasm for helping young people overcome challenges and succeed
The successful Learning Support Assistant will become part of a collaborative and supportive team that is committed to improving outcomes for all learners. Essential Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
