Milk Education is working in partnership with a supportive school in Enfield to recruit a dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with behavioural, emotional, and social needs. This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning and succeed both academically and personally.
The Role
- Provide targeted behaviour and pastoral support to pupils
- Support students with SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, or disengagement
- Implement behaviour strategies and support plans
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Support de-escalation and emotional regulation
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in learning
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with children or young people with behavioural needs (school, PRU, youth work, or mentoring background)
- Calm, resilient, and empathetic approach
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Ability to engage and motivate challenging learners
- Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Relevant training in behaviour, mentoring, or SEMH is desirable but not essential
