We are seeking dedicated, nurturing and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join our supportive and child‑centred specialist school in Kirkby. We take pride in offering an inclusive, personalised environment where every pupil is encouraged to reach their potential. Our provision supports approximately 200 pupils aged 3–19 with a wide range of needs, including:
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
- Sensory and complex medical needs
- SEMH needs – challenging / antisocial behaviours
The Role
- Support pupils with personalised learning, communication and life‑skills development
- Work 1:1 or with small groups depending on needs
- Assist with personal care routines where required
- Contribute to creating a positive, safe and stimulating learning environment
- Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour using positive, relationship‑based approaches
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists and other support staff
- Team Teach training is desirable.
