Are you passionate about supporting young children during the most important stages of their learning and development?
We are working with a welcoming and nurturing primary school in Darlington that is looking to appoint a dedicated Early Years Assistant to join their friendly Early Years team from September 2026.
The Role
As an Early Years Assistant, you will
- Support the Nursery and/or Reception Teacher with day-to-day classroom activities and assessments.
- Help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating learning environment where every child can thrive.
- Support children's learning through play-based activities, small group work, and one-to-one support.
- Assist with daily routines, including personal care where required.
- Work collaboratively with a supportive and experienced team to deliver high-quality early years education.
About You
We're looking for someone who
- Is caring, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting young children's development.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Has a genuine interest in Early Years education and helping children reach their full potential.
- Is eager to learn, develop professionally, and contribute positively to the school community.
- Holds relevant experience or qualifications in Early Years or childcare (desirable but not essential).
