The Role

We are seeking a skilled DT Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key part in a supportive department that values creativity, hands-on learning, and high standards. You will be responsible for:

  • Planning and delivering exciting, practical DT lessons that inspire curiosity and independent thinking
  • Supporting pupils to develop skills in design, problem-solving, and safe workshop practice
  • Contributing to the school’s culture of Care, Respect and Inspire
  • Embedding key values of Attitude, Resilience, Independence, Confidence, Pride and Aspiration into classroom practice
  • Assessing and tracking student progress to drive achievement
  • Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and share best practice

The Ideal Candidate

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Specialism in Design & Technology (Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, Graphics or similar)

  • Able to promote the school’s ethos of Care, Respect and Inspire
  • Committed to high standards and positive relationships with pupils
