Milk Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Doncaster for a passionate and motivated Design and Technology Teacher. This is an excellent opportunity to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4, developing their creativity, practical skills, and problem‑solving abilities through engaging and innovative Design and Technology lessons.

The Role

As a Design and Technology Teacher, you will deliver engaging and inclusive lessons that encourage students to develop practical skills, creativity, and technical knowledge across the Design and Technology curriculum. You will play a key role in preparing students for further education and future careers while fostering confidence, resilience, and independent thinking.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Design and Technology lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment, ensuring high standards of health and safety within workshops and practical settings
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress to ensure positive outcomesEncouraging creativity, innovation, and problem‑solving through practical and theoretical learning
  • Supporting students in developing technical skills and confidence across a range of materials and processes
  • Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to support whole‑school improvement
  • Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and professional practice

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Design and Technology at secondary level
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • A current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Milk Education
