Milk Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Doncaster to recruit an enthusiastic Performing Arts Teacher for a September start. This is a fantastic opportunity for a creative and passionate educator with a background in Dance, Drama, Music, or Performing Arts who is eager to inspire students and encourage creativity across Key Stages 3 and 4.
The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering engaging lessons, developing students’ confidence and performance skills, and promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role
As a Performing Arts Teacher, you will teach and support students across KS3 and KS4, delivering dynamic lessons that encourage self-expression, creativity, teamwork, and performance. You may also support students preparing for school productions, performances, assessments, and GCSE qualifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Performing Arts lessons across Dance, Drama, and Music
- Inspire students to develop confidence, creativity, and communication skills
- Support learners preparing for performances, examinations, and coursework
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual students
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students and staff
- Encourage participation and engagement through creative learning experiences
- Build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold relevant qualifications in Performing Arts, Dance, Drama, Music, or a related subject
- Have experience teaching or delivering Performing Arts sessions to secondary-aged students (preferred)
- Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Be energetic, adaptable, and passionate about student development
- Have a strong understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management
- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one
