Are you an experienced and confident Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for flexible work in Kirklees Primary Schools? Milk Education is working with a wide range of welcoming and supportive primary schools across Kirklees who are looking for skilled HLTAs to provide high-quality classroom support. Whether you’re looking for the flexibility of day-to-day supply, the consistency of a long-term role, or your next permanent opportunity, we’d love to hear from you.
The Role
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 in the absence of the class teacher.
- Provide targeted intervention sessions in subjects such as English, Maths and Phonics to raise pupil attainment.
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, including those with SEND, EAL and additional learning needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and SENCOs to support pupil progress and wellbeing.
- Help maintain a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment while promoting excellent behaviour for learning.

What We’re Looking For
- HLTA Status or a recognised Level 4 HLTA qualification (or equivalent experience working at HLTA level).
- Previous experience working within a UK Primary School.
- Confidence delivering whole-class lessons across EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
- Experience delivering interventions and supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEND, is desirable.
- Excellent classroom management, communication and organisational skills.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- The Right to Work in the UK.
