We are seeking dedicated Secondary Supply Teachers to work across schools in the Darlington area. This fulfilling role involves delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils of varying abilities, and helping create a calm, productive classroom where every student feels valued and motivated to learn.

You’ll work closely with school leadership and teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning and provide a supportive presence for students across a range of subjects.

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday (flexible supply work)

What You Need

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A proactive, professional attitude and commitment to inclusive education
  • The ability to provide two recent references

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups from KS3 to KS5
  • Create a positive, structured learning environment
  • Support pupils’ academic progress and engagement
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit a variety of learning needs
  • Maintain excellent behaviour management
  • Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure continuity for learners
  • Provide feedback on pupil progress where required
