Milk Education are working with an inclusive primary school in Croydon who are looking for a confident Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their classroom team from September. The successful candidate will provide targeted support to pupils who may experience challenges with behaviour, helping them develop positive strategies and remain engaged with their learning.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group classroom support.
- Help pupils regulate their behaviour and emotions.
- Implement agreed behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with learning.
- Build strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Work closely with class teachers and the schoolβs pastoral and SEND teams.
- Support pupils in developing independence and confidence.
About You
- Previous experience working with children or young people.
- Experience supporting behaviour or SEMH is desirable.
- Calm and consistent approach.
- Confident managing challenging situations.
- Patient, resilient and empathetic.
- Strong communication skills.
