Milk Education are recruiting Creative Teaching Assistants to support a number of welcoming, inclusive, and high-achieving Primary Schools across Gateshead. This is the perfect opportunity for individuals with backgrounds in teaching assistance, youth work, psychology, sports coaching, drama, dance, music, performing arts, support work, childcare, or education. Location: Gateshead

Contract: Term-time only

Hours: 8:30-15:30

Start: September 2026

Pay: £107.71 per day

Your role will include:

  • Supporting children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2
  • Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Delivering interventions in Phonics, English, Reading, Writing, and Maths
  • Supporting children with additional learning needs
  • Creating fun, engaging, and inclusive learning experiences
  • Assisting teachers with classroom preparation and lesson delivery
  • Helping build children’s confidence, independence, and social development
  • Using creative approaches to keep pupils motivated and engaged

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)
  • A positive, energetic, and proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • A genuine passion for education and child development
  • Creative, adaptable, and confident working in fast-paced environments
  • Available for full-time work across Gateshead
