Milk Education is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to support children and young people with additional needs. Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with a variety of SEN needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and learning difficulties.
  • Support pupils in accessing lessons and engaging positively in the classroom.
  • Help adapt learning materials and differentiate tasks to meet individual needs.
  • Encourage emotional regulation, confidence-building, and positive behaviour.
  • Build trusting and supportive relationships with pupils while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to deliver consistent, high-quality support.
Requirements:
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (education-based or transferable experience welcomed).
  • A calm, nurturing, and patient approach to supporting learners.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt to a range of needs and behaviours.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
  • No teaching qualification required — SEN experience is essential.
