Milk education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Complex Needs Teaching Assistant In Redhill to support students with a range of complex needs, including learning, physical, and sensory difficulties. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with both students and educational staff to help create a positive, inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive. Your primary responsibility will be to support students in accessing the curriculum, fostering independence, and ensuring their well-being. Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with complex needs in the classroom and other settings. * Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication, following individual care plans. * Support students’ social, emotional, and behavioral development to help them feel safe, included, and confident. * Implement and track the progress of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning resources accordingly. * Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure each student’s unique needs are met. * Promote and support students’ independence and life skills development. * Assist with classroom management and support positive behavior strategies. * Provide feedback on students’ progress to relevant stakeholders, including teachers and parents. * Help with the preparation of learning materials and activities that cater to a variety of learning styles. Desirable Skills: * Experience with alternative communication methods (e.g., Makaton, PECS). * Understanding of strategies for managing challenging behavior. * Experience working with children with physical disabilities or sensory impairments.
