Milk Education are recruiting on behalf of a Special School in Leeds that cater for pupils with Autism, Learning Disabilities and SEMH Issues. The school are recruiting for a Child Support Worker that will work term time only, 08.30 - 15:30 Monday - Friday.

As a Child Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the Class Teacher with delivering the lessons, keeping pupils engaged, managing behaviour and in some cases assisting with feeding and changing depending on the needs of the pupils in the class. This would be an amazing opportunity for somebody that is currently working in Adult Health and Social Care that wants to work with children, as well as working more sociable hours.

Child Support Worker Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supporting on School trips and outings
  • Assisting with feeding and personal care
  • Assisting Class Teacher with delivering lessons

Child Support Worker Non-negotiables:

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children or adults with learning disabilities either in care or education.
  • Must be comfortable providing personal care.
  • Must have Maths and English C and above at GCSE Level.
