Early Years Teaching Assistant – North Durham

We’re looking for passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join welcoming Early Years Settings acrossNorth Durham.

We’re working with Nurseries and Primary Schools who are committed to creating a positive and supportive community where children are encouraged to be curious, develop their confidence and celebrate their individuality.

The Roles:

• Monday – Friday
• Primary School/Nursery setting
• 8:30am – 3:30pm
• £107.71 a day

Teaching Assistant – Requirements or Skills:

• A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education, early years or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience (required)
• Recent experience working in a school or education setting (preferred)
• Enthusiasm for helping pupils reach their full potential and making a positive difference to their learning and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Teaching Assistant – Main Responsibilities:

• Encouraging independence by helping pupils develop communication and self-management skills
• Providing encouragement and reassurance to pupils who may require additional support
• Supporting learners by providing one-to-one or small group assistance
• Working collaboratively with teachers and other professionals
• Maintaining safeguarding and confidentiality, following school policies
