Milk Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Mentor in Liverpool. As a Youth Mentor, you’ll support students with behavioural needs, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist students with behavioural challenges in both one-to-one and group settings.
  • Support the development and implementation of individual behaviour plans.
  • Provide guidance and positive reinforcement to encourage the students’ social and emotional growth.
  • Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to monitor and assess student progress.
  • Offer strategies and interventions to help students manage their behaviour and emotions.
  • Maintain clear records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a school or support setting.
  • Understanding of child development, particularly in relation to behaviour and emotional needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in managing challenging situations.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and supporting children with diverse needs.
  • A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or related fields is desirable but not essential.
