Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Merseyside to recruit a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to start in September. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced cover supervisors, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience within secondary education.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will deliver pre-set lessons across a range of core subjects including English, Maths, Science, and Humanities, ensuring students remain engaged and on task in the absence of the classroom teacher. This role is ideal for individuals considering a future career in teaching or education, as well as experienced school support staff seeking their next opportunity within a supportive school environment.

The Role as a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervise classes across KS3 and KS4, managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students complete the work set by teaching staff.
  • Help maintain a positive learning environment while supporting students’ academic progress and engagement across a variety of subjects.

Key Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of secondary subjects.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
