Milk Education is seeking passionate, committed and energetic SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and a range of additional needs. These may include sensory needs, physical disabilities, communication challenges, and behaviours that can be complex – and our pupils deserve patient, skilled and compassionate support. We work closely with purpose‑built, all‑age specialist schools (3–19 years), where every child follows a personalised curriculum designed to help them thrive. As part of the team, you will play a vital role in helping pupils feel safe, confident and empowered to learn.
About the Role
- Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with significant additional needs, helping them develop communication, social skills and confidence.
- Assist with teaching and learning activities, therapeutic sessions, and structured routines.
- Support pupils during social times, community outings, sensory activities and sports events.
- Work closely with teachers and therapists to create an engaging, supportive learning environment.
- Promote pupils’ wellbeing, safety and independence throughout the school day.
