Milk Education is working in partnership with a forward-thinking secondary school in Bradford to appoint an enthusiastic Design Technology & Art Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who believes creativity should be at the heart of learning and wants to inspire students to develop practical skills, confidence and imagination.

This is more than just teaching practical subjects. You’ll encourage students to think creatively, solve real-world problems and express themselves through design and artistic exploration. You’ll create engaging lessons that inspire curiosity, develop technical skills and help every learner achieve their potential.

Working as part of a supportive department, you’ll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact while continuing to develop your own teaching practice.

Your Role

  • Planning and delivering engaging Design Technology and Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
  • Inspiring students through creative, practical and project-based learning
  • Creating a safe, organised and engaging workshop and classroom environment
  • Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback
  • Encouraging creativity, independence and resilience in every lesson
  • Contributing to the wider life of the department and school community

We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Passionate about Design Technology, Art and creative education
  • Able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
  • Committed to delivering engaging, inclusive and high-quality lessons
  • Dedicated to helping every student develop confidence, creativity and practical skills
