SEND Teaching Assistant- September

Milk Education are working with an exceptional SEN school in Newcastle who are seeking full-time SEND Teaching Assistants to work with children that have Autism and Complex Needs.

This is a full-time, temp to perm opportunity for September 2026.

Teaching Assistant- Role & Responsibilities

  • Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
  • Support children consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
  • Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
  • Deliver catch-up sessions

Teaching Assistant Level- Non-negotiables

  • Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, within the past two years
  • Must have a passion for education
  • Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
  • Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
  • Must be reliable and punctual
