Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious unqualified Teaching Assistant to join a lovely primary school based in the Blyth area. This is a full-time position supporting a child in Reception on a 1:1 basis, with an ASAP start.
Working hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
You will be joining a warm, welcoming and supportive school that values inclusion and provides a nurturing learning environment for all pupils. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced or aspiring educator who is passionate about supporting young children with Autism in an early years setting.
What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all pupils
- Provide consistent 1:1 support to a child in Reception with a diagnosis of Autism
- Support learning through play-based and structured activities
- Support communication, social development and emotional regulation
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to follow individual support plans
Essential Requirements:
- Recent and relevant experience working with children and young people, particularly those with SEND and Autism
- A genuine passion for early years education and SEND support
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to work effectively under the guidance of the class teacher
