Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious learning support assistant to join a primary school in Blyth to work on a long-term basis starting ASAP. This is a full-time opportunity where you’ll be focused on supporting primary schools when required, making a real difference in children’s lives. This is an exciting role for a new or experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential!
What You’ll Be Doing in the Role:
- Provide in-class and small-group support to pupils across the primary age range
- Support children with additional learning needs (academic, social, or emotional)
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and classroom organisation
- Promote positive behaviour and support children’s emotional wellbeing
- Help create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
- Support pupils during breaktimes, transitions, and school activities
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have recent and relevant experience in an education setting, within the last 5 years.
- Experience working with children in a primary school or similar setting (desirable)
- A patient, caring, and positive approach to supporting children
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to support pupils with a range of learning needs
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
