Milk Education is working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Northumberland to appoint a
Primary Classroom Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2026.
You'll work alongside the class teacher to support learning, encourage positive behaviour and help pupils get the most from their time in school.
- Your Responsibilities
- Support pupils during lessons and classroom activities
- Work with individuals and small groups as directed by the teacher
- Assist with literacy, numeracy and curriculum-based activities
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
- Encourage pupils to participate and develop independence
- Support positive behaviour and classroom routines
- Provide additional assistance to pupils who require it
- The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with primary-aged children is desirable
- A positive, friendly and approachable manner
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Able to work effectively as part of a school team
- Patient and adaptable to different classroom environments
- Passionate about helping children learn and develop
