Primary Teacher – Bishop Auckland
Milk Education is working with a number of welcoming and supportive Primary Schools across Bishop Auckland and the surrounding areas and is looking to recruit passionate, enthusiastic, and dedicated Primary Teachers to join schools from September 2026.

You’ll play a vital role in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons and creating a positive classroom environment where every child feels supported, encouraged, and able to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Primary curriculum.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
- Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Support pupils with additional learning needs.
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within a Primary School setting is desirable.
- ECTs are encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of the Primary curriculum.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Strong understanding of assessment and pupil progress.
- Passion for delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and support pupils.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
