Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their full potential? Milk Education is working in partnership with a welcoming secondary school in Birkenhead looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference by supporting students across KS3 and KS4, helping them to engage with learning, build confidence and reach their goals.

Whether you’re an experienced Teaching Assistant, a recent graduate, or someone with transferable experience working with young people, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects.
  • Working with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Providing additional support to students with SEND, SEMH or other learning needs where required.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting an inclusive learning environment.
  • Helping to prepare classroom resources and maintain a safe learning space.
  • Building positive relationships with students, staff and parents.

We would love to hear from candidates who have:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach.
  • Confidence supporting students with varying learning needs.
  • A genuine passion for education and helping young people succeed.
  • Relevant qualifications or transferable experience in education, childcare, youth work, coaching or mentoring.
