We are seeking a committed and qualified English Teacher to join our team from September. This is a part-time opportunity working with a small group of GCSE students focusing on English Language.
You will be teaching classes of up to 10 students who may present social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs, and may display occasional challenging behaviours. This role requires patience, resilience, and strong relationship-building skills.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective GCSE English Language lessons
- Support and motivate students with SEMH needs
- Manage behaviour positively and consistently
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching GCSE English Language
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour (preferred)
- Strong classroom management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students
