Milk Education is working with a primary school in Billinge (WN5) to hire a full-time Year 6 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 6 with ASD who displays challenging behaviour. This role begins immediately and will continue until July 2026. Working hours are 08:30am-15:30pm, Monday through Friday.
The Assistant will keep the child on task, ensure work meets a good standard, prepare resources for the day, and provide a patient, nurturing learning environment.
Teaching Assistant – Role & Responsibilities- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all children
- Support children consistently while responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
- Deliver catch‑up sessions
- Recent/ relevant experience working with children and young people within the past two years
