Milk Education is looking for a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team, supporting secondary-aged children with social, emotional, and behavioural challenges.

This role is essential in helping students to thrive in the classroom by providing targeted support that promotes positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers, the SENCO and other staff to help create an inclusive learning environment. Your primary focus will be to assist students in managing their behaviour, so they can fully engage in learning and reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to children with behavioural difficulties, helping them manage emotions and interactions
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behaviour management strategies tailored to individual students' needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to ensure a consistent approach to behaviour management in the classroom
  • Monitor and record student progress, feeding back to teachers, parents, and relevant professionals

About You:

  • Experience working with children, especially those with behavioural or emotional challenges (experience in a school setting is preferred)
  • A good understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies
  • A passion for helping children to overcome barriers and achieve their potential
  • A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)
