We are seeking a committed Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a specialised SEMH school in Scunthorpe. About the Role:
- Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, focusing on behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing.
- Help implement behaviour management strategies and individual support plans.
- Assist the class teacher with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
- Build trusting, professional relationships with students to promote a positive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external agencies.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, confident approach.
- A caring, compassionate attitude and commitment to safeguarding.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support or SEND (desirable but not essential).
