We are seeking a committed Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team at a specialised SEMH school in Scunthorpe. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who require tailored support to help them engage with education and reach their full potential.

About the Role:

  • Support students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, focusing on behaviour regulation and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help implement behaviour management strategies and individual support plans.
  • Assist the class teacher with the planning and delivery of tailored learning activities.
  • Build trusting, professional relationships with students to promote a positive learning environment.
  • Work collaboratively with SENCOs, pastoral teams, and external agencies.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs or challenging behaviour.
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, confident approach.
  • A caring, compassionate attitude and commitment to safeguarding.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in behaviour support or SEND (desirable but not essential).
