Milk Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Northumberland to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Mentor for a full-time role starting in September 2026.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

You'll work closely with teachers and support staff to provide academic, social and emotional support throughout the school day.

The Role

  • Provide classroom-based support across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
  • Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups
  • Support pupils who require additional encouragement with their learning
  • Help develop children's confidence, resilience and independence
  • Work alongside teachers to monitor progress and adapt learning activities
  • Promote positive behaviour and contribute to a calm, inclusive classroom environment

About You

  • Experience working with children in a school, nursery, childcare or youth setting is desirable
  • A patient, caring and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Passionate about making a positive difference in children's education
