We are recruiting caring and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to work across our partner schools in the Kirklees area. These include inclusive settings that support children and young people with a wide range of special educational needs and disabilities. Each school provides a nurturing, structured, and positive learning environment where pupils are supported to reach their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and complex learning needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with ASC and complex needs in both classroom and 1:1 settings.
  • Help pupils access learning, develop independence, and build confidence.
  • Use communication tools, visual aids, and structured routines to support engagement.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and social interaction.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, behaviour leads, and therapists.
  • Assist with personal care needs (toileting, dressing, hygiene) when required.

About You:

  • Caring, patient, and resilient nature.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn.
  • Experience in an SEN setting is an advantage.
  • Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject desirable.
