Milk Education is partnering with a well-regarded primary school in Atherton (M46) to recruit a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant for a full-time, long-term role starting immediately. This SEND Teaching Assistant position involves working across both KS1 and KS2 supporting SEND pupils with a variety of additional needs on a one-to-one basis. You will be given a timetable as to where you will be working in the morning and in the afternoon.
The ideal candidate will be patient, nurturing, and highly adaptable to the individual learning needs of each child. You will play a key role in supporting the pupil’s educational and emotional development within a structured and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide one-to-one support for KS1 and KS2 pupils with additional needs
- Supporting children with ASD, ADHD and Complex Needs
- Keep the child engaged and on task throughout the school day
- Prepare daily resources and support learning activities
- Foster a positive, nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff
- Experience supporting children with SEND, particularly Autism and Complex Needs
- Patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to supporting the child’s academic and emotional development
