We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist provision in Haringey, supporting students with a range of needs including SEMH, autism, developmental trauma, and sensory processing challenges.

Your role will focus on supporting students’ emotional regulation, sensory needs, and engagement with learning, helping them build confidence and independence in a structured, nurturing environment. You’ll work in a small, supportive setting with a strong focus on:
- Sensory and emotional regulation
- Relationship building and trust
- Personalised learning and therapeutic approaches

- Applying trauma-informed and sensory-aware approaches
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Helping students manage sensory overload, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation
- Building consistent, positive relationships with young people
- Supporting emotional regulation and confidence building
- Encouraging engagement in learning and daily routines
- Working closely with staff, therapists, and external professionals
- Promoting independence, resilience, and life skills
What We’re Looking For
- Are a graduate in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or a related field (or have relevant experience in care, youth work, or support roles)
- Have a genuine interest in educational psychology, occupational therapy, or SEN support
- Are patient, resilient, and emotionally intelligent
- Have strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Understand how sensory, emotional, and mental health needs impact behaviour and learning
- Have a reliable commute to Haringey – the school is exceptionally well-connected via the Victoria Line, Piccadilly Line, London Overground, and multiple bus routes from across Central, North, and East London
No school-based experience is required – your attitude, empathy, and willingness to learn are what matter most. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.
