As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with a range of additional needs including autism (from low to high support needs), PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance), and speech/language communication differences
Help young people who may be at risk of exclusion, disengagement, or interaction with the youth justice system
Use neurodiversity-informed approaches to reduce anxiety, build routines, and scaffold communication and regulation
Empower pupils to develop emotional resilience, self-awareness, and healthy peer relationships
Be a consistent, trusted adult figure in a trauma-informed setting

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Providing structured 1:1 and small group support to learners with SEN, SEMH, and autism spectrum conditions
Delivering behaviour and sensory regulation strategies that consider individual neurocognitive profiles
Assisting with personalised learning plans that reflect emotional needs and educational goals
Supporting pupils in developing executive function, social reasoning, and life skills
Liaising with teachers, therapists, and families to monitor progress and adapt interventions
Participating in de-escalation and relational behaviour support (training provided)

Graduates in Criminology, Psychology, Education, Social Sciences, or Humanities
