Milk Education are recruiting for a motivated and resilient KS2 Teacher to join a welcoming Primary School in Ashton-under-Lyne on a long-term basis starting in September. This is an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin their teaching journey within a supportive school environment. The school has a high level of SEND and behavioural needs, therefore the successful candidate must be confident building relationships, maintaining strong classroom routines, and implementing effective behaviour management strategies.
The school is looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference, committed to inclusive learning, and able to create a calm, engaging and structured classroom environment where all pupils can succeed.
The Role
- Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across KS2 in line with the National Curriculum.
- Support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASC, ADHD and SEMH.
- Implement strong behaviour management strategies to promote a positive and consistent learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents to support both academic and emotional development.
- Work closely with the SENCo and wider support staff to ensure all pupils are fully supported in school.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- QTS achieved or pending completion of ECT year.
- Recent classroom experience within a UK Primary School setting.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills are essential.
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND or challenging behaviour is highly desirable.
- Ability to remain calm, resilient and adaptable within a busy classroom environment.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
