Milk Education are recruiting for a purpose-driven, ambitious unqualified SEND Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional SEND school in Ashington, Northumberland to work on a long-term basis starting in November. You'll be joining an inclusive and supportive school, focused on diversity and promoting a loving academic environment for those with additional needs. The needs of the children in this school include ASD, PMLD, SEMH, learning difficulties and physical disabilities. This is an exciting role for an experienced educator to join a fantastic school to support pupils in reaching their potential.
What You'll Be Doing in the Role:
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Support the pupil consistently on a 1:1 basis whilst responding to their individual needs
- Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate
- Supporting the children academically throughout their day.
Essential Qualifications:
- Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND.
- Must have a passion for education
- Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills
- Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
- Must have experience using Personal Care or be open to training
